These basic everyday sterling silver hoop earrings are hand forged with my favorite .935 sterling silver (Argentium silver). They make perfect sleeper earrings: they are so comfortable that you will rarely ever notice them there!

Here are the wire gauges used in different sized earrings:

• 3mm-4mm: 22g (Most piercings do not fit this size)

• 5mm-7mm: 22g

• 8mm-10mm: 21g

• 11mm-12mm: 20g

NOTE: Since all of my small hoop earrings are hand made, please allow for a tolerance of ± 0.3mm on the sizes.

HOW TO PUT ONE ON:

Continuous hoops neither have clasps nor hinges so all you have to do is twist the 2 ends together to close. It's a little difficult to maneuver once the earring is on but if you turn the ends to front (so you can see yourself in the mirror) and follow my instructions (in one of the images) you should be able to get the ends to close with no gap. If you're dealing with smaller hoops, I highly recommend another person's help.

Just keep pushing the 2 ends back and forth PAST each other until they line up once you release your fingers. Perhaps try practicing this motion with the hoop so you can get the hang of it before you actually put it on your ear.

TIP: You can hide the seam of a hoop inside the piercing hole for a true seamless look and feel!

*ARGENTIUM SILVER CARE

.935 sterling silver is tarnish resistant so it takes much longer to oxidize compared to the traditional .925 sterling silver. When it loses its shine, you can easily polish it up with a spray of Windex and a soft cloth.

TIP: If you want your Argentium silver hoops to stay shiny for a very long time, the first thing to do after receiving your hoops is to "bake" them in the oven at 212°F for 3 hours.
